Panasonic has developed a new 24.2MP full-frame sensor that complies with PDAF (Phase Detection Auto-Focus). The imaging engine has also been re-developed to achieve high resolution, natural description and approx. 2x higher-speed signal procession for high bit-rate video recording. The combination of a new sensor and engine achieves both PDAF and high image quality - a hallmark of LUMIX.
The auto-focus system has evolved into a fast, accurate Phase Hybrid AF, making it even more dependable. With advanced subject detection and metering technologies, you can easily track and focus on your target subject even in poor lighting conditions. The powerful image stabilization system has also further evolved with Active I.S. so you can be certain your videos will be steady and smooth, no matter how shaky the camera is!
