Blackmagic Design Announces Powerful ATEM 2 M/E Production Studio 4K

NAB 2014, Las Vegas, USA - April 7, 2014 - Blackmagic Design today announced ATEM 2 M/E Production Studio 4K, a new extremely powerful 2 M/E based Ultra HD live production switcher with 20 6G-SDI inputs, SuperSource layering engine and much more.

The new ATEM 2 M/E Production Studio 4K includes 20 independent SD, HD or Ultra HD 4K video inputs with each input featuring a full frame synchronizer. ATEM 2 M/E Production Studio 4K also includes all the features expected from a professional switcher, including chroma key, transitions, DVE, media pool, downstream keyers, audio mixer, two multi view outputs and 6G-SDI and HDMI 4K video connections.

Blackmagic Studio Camera is one of the most advanced broadcast cameras for live production because it includes features specifically targeted at the requirements of live production! Currently customers often need to use cameras designed for general video production for live work and this means they don’t get features that live production demands, such as large viewfinder, talkback, tally, optical fiber and a super strong metal design.

ATEM Production Switchers Used for Live Production at 2013 U17 World Cup

Fremont, CA - November 26, 2013 - Blackmagic Design today announced that the ATEM Production Studio 4K was deployed during the 2013 United Arab Emirate (UAE) U17 World Cup as part of a new live production workflow in the six host nation stadiums.

Organizers approached Pulse Middle East, a provider of audio visual and lighting solutions, to not only design and install the new system, but to also provide technical and operational support throughout the world championship of association football for players under the age of 17.

Blackmagic Design Announces Major New Update for ATEM Production Switchers

The new progressive frame rates allow customers to work in 1080p 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 50, 59.94 progressive video formats, which means ATEM Production Studio 4K now connects to an even wider range of HD devices including low cost consumer HDMI and professional SDI cameras, routers, media playout servers and more!
