Design pride themselves on their research and development of
microphone capsules, using no integrated circuits, but solid
state, class-A fully discrete circuitry in order to maintain
an unsurpassed clarity. Violet
considers the capsule to be the heart of the microphone - the
mylar film of the hand-built capsules are sputtered with a special,
unique-to-Violet formula of 24-carat gold, of absolute pure
(99.99%) quality and aluminium. This special film is tensioned
to their own hand-built brass backplates, designed and manufactured
in their purpose-built factory in Riga, Latvia. This allows
Violet Design to achieve the fastest transient response without
the sacrifice of low-end frequencies. This manufacturing process
is crucial to achieving the unique sound quality that is the
trademark of a Violet Design microphone. |
