The HVR-V1P is a compact and lightweight professional HDV camcorder - sharing similar dimensions to the popular DSR-PD170P

The HVR-V1P is the first Sony professional camera to incorporate 3 ClearVid CMOS sensors. Coupled with Sony's Enhanced Imaging Processor (EIP) these sensors provide high sensitivity, low noise and a wide dynamic range to help achieve high-quality, smearless images.

In addition to offering 1080/50i acquisition, it also provides 25p shooting - making it ideal for film-makers with smaller budgets and those who wish to create a more cinematic look and feel to their production. Unlike 'progressive-look' pictures interpolated from interlace scan camera systems, the HVR-V1PE's "3 ClearVid CMOS Sensor" system natively captures progressive scan images while maintaining full HDV resolution (1080). Moreover, footage shot using the progressive scan feature can be played back on any Sony HDV professional camcorders and VTRs and can be edited with major current non-linear editing systems, including Sony, Adobe, Apple, Avid and Canopus.

Other professional features include timecode preset function, two XLR microphone inputs, a timecode link to synchronise time codes between multiple cameras and HDV/DVCAM/DV recording and playback for flexible workflow options.

Sony HVRDR60 Portable Hard Disk Recording Unit    NEW!

High Definition/Standard Definition device offers longer recording times and greater workflow flexibility

The HVR-DR60 is a lightweight and portable hard disk (HDD) recording unit, which is the ideal accompaniment to camcorders such as the new HVR-V1P.

The HVR-DR60 is easily connected with a camcorder via i.LINK, and offers users the ability to record on to both tape and hard disk simultaneously - ideal to create a hybrid recording solution for customers.

The compact footprint design also provides four and a half hours of continuous HDV/DVCAM/DV stream recording.

In addition, as the product is file-based, workflow options are enhanced providing high-speed access to NLE systems and random access to video files.

Sony HVRA1P - Professional 1080i HDV CMOS Camcorder

Sony is expanding its lineup of HDVT products for professionals with the new HVR-A1P model, based on a 1/3-inch, 3-megapixel Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) imager.

Sony has improved upon the key attributes of traditional CMOS sensors with proprietary technology, and this innovative CMOS device is also accompanied by Sony's Enhanced Imaging Processor (EIP).

The EIP enables the high-speed processing required for capturing high-definition video images, and allows an HDV camcorder to record and playback high-quality still images. The first professional high-definition application of this enhanced imaging technology is in the HVR-A1P model. EIP technology is also at the core of a new consumer product counterpart, the Sony HDR-HC1 Handycam.

In common with the HVR-M15P, the HVR-M25P has standard and mini size tape compatibility providing up to 276 minutes of 1080i High Definition recording time using Sony's new PHDV-276DM HDV premium tapes. The new deck features a range of connectivity options, including the i.LINK® (IEEE-1394) digital interface, component output, S-Video I/O, composite I/O, external time code input for HDV and DV/DVCAM and analogue audio I/O. HD-SD format and aspect ratio conversion are standard.

Building on the HVR-M15P but delivering additional features such as HDMI output and Edge Crop Adjust to name a few, this unit delivers everything you would come to expect from a professional series VTR.

Sony - HVR-1500 Professional HDV/DV/DVCAM Studio Recorder

The HVR1500 is an HDV source feeder and DVCAM/DV feeder/recorder; inheriting the same design concepts of the very successful DSR1500A.

The new HVR1500 offers quick mechanical response; multi-format DV playback; and a robust set of professional video and audio interfaces ranging from analogue to digital SDI and AES/EBU. In addition; it offers HD-SDI output as well as RS-422A control capabilities; bridging HDV source material and assets with high-end HD formats and HD editing environments
