Electro-acoustic Design Masterpiece

Genelec’s new 3-way DSP speaker system represents one of the most significant and revolutionary breakthroughs we’ve seen in speaker design for many years. Featuring never-seen-before coaxial mid/high driver technology, the Genelec 8260A delivers super accurate imaging and an even sound with outstanding clarity and definition both on the acoustical axis and off-axis.

Those amazing engineers at Genelec have managed to produce a coaxial driver with diffraction-free joints between tweeter and midrange diaphragms and the waveguide integrated on the enclosure to make the most of coaxial advantages (point-source) and simultaneously solve the inherent flaws of previous coaxial designs. “If I had to use just one word to describe how these sound, it would have to be, s m o o t h” commented Rob Paris, recently back from auditioning them at NAB.

We’re currently seeking market interest in this new 3-way model. Please get in touch soon if you’d like to evaluate a system in your studio.

Plug In Academy Award Winning Performance

Cedar are undoubtedly the world leader in audio noise suppression
and audio restoration systems. Now for the first time Cedar’s Dialogue Noise Suppression is available as an RTAS plug-in for Pro Tools. The DNS One makes no compromises in sound quality and it offers the same Academy Award winning performance as its illustrious siblings like the DNS 3000.

Coupled to a superb new user-interface that allows users to control hundreds of channels of DNS (software and hardware, in any mix they choose) from a single Pro Tools host, DNS One is the most powerful and flexible noise
suppressor ever developed. Protel can provide you with a time-limited demo so you can hear for yourself the stunning results the DNS One can provide. Ask about our special introductory price, valid to the end of June 2010.

Add Fat, Warmth, Attitude and Get Your Mix Moving

Pro recording engineers have been torturing their gear for years, pushing
it to the limit to create the sound of modern music. Decapitator gives you five flavors of classic analogue sound, modeled from real hardware that SoundToys tweaked, twisted, and tortured in their lab. Punish it as hard
as you can, and use the three tone shaping knobs to sweeten, fatten,
heat-up, or squash sound the way you want it. “Instavibe-in-a-box. Fresh and inspiring.” Fab – Jennifer Lopez, Santigold, Toots And The Maytals “Subtle to screaming. I love Decapitator.” Ryan Hewitt – Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dixie Chicks, Avett Brothers

There's more to panning than meets the eye, uh, ear. So building off their experience creating FilterFreak, PhaseMistress and Tremolator, SoundToys have pushed panning into a new dimension. PanMan takes classic features from vintage studio standard auto-panners like the PanScan, and Spanner, and melds them with innovations like programmable rhythms and gives you an exciting new creative tool to move your music like never before. “PanMan is the sort of plug that you buy, try, and then it's all over your mixes.”- Gearslutz Forum

Sleek New Dual Layer Console

Console designer and manufacturer Audient, recently launched the Audient ASP2802, a sleek, eight channel console combining classic analogue features with extensive DAW integration and control designed to bridge the gap between the analogue world and the digital audio software on a computer.

Behaving like no ordinary eight channel desk, the compact design of the ASP2802 also belies a fully functioning master section based on the design of the now classic ASP8024, and shares the same mic preamp topology and bus compressor design, not usually available on other such compact consoles. With a massive 28 inputs at the mix stage, 8 summing inputs and 2 stereo FX returns – the ASP2802 comes in at a very moderate price of just $7,449. “The modern production room now has another very real alternative to the large format console,” says Luke Baldry, Sales & Marketing Director at Audient. “Anyone with budget and/or space constraints will find the ASP2802 fits the bill perfectly.”
