If you're shooting with the new crop of Digital SLR cameras that shoot 720 or 1080p video, then you already know it's very difficult to shoot stable video with them. Rolling shutter artifacts are a big problem with the CMOS sensors from these cameras and are introduced with even minor shaking of the camera during recording.
Cinevate's DSLR shoot kits add mass and therefore stability to the rig while allowing you to use the rigs shoulder mounted. Furthermore, our DSLR kit allows the use of our amazing Durus Follow Focus and Titan mattebox to increase the focus accuracy and image quality of your recorded video. Our shoot rig is based on our nearly indestructable (patent pending) Proteus solid carbon railssystems offering nearly infinite configuration possibilities.
The systems can be quickly reconfigured to support nearly any video camera rig including those using flipped and non-flipped 35mm adapters like our Brevis MP.2 which means this may be the last rails system you'll ever need. As always, Cinevate's Video University features a video overview of our DSLR shoot system.

Patent pending, Cinevate's Durus Follow Focus system is rapidly gaining recognition as one of of the finest follow focus units in the world ..at any price. Rather than just re-tasking a radio controlled car transmission (and yes, you'll see these in nearly every FF under $1000), we decided to start with an amazing full bearing system and incorporated custom manufactured gears.
The only plastic you'll find on the unit is the black final gear drive (interchangeable) and the magnetically affixed focus focus ring. The focus knob, rods mount, internals and gear case are 100% computer machined from billet aluminum and steel. The system can be used at nearly any height, including upside down, and you can vary the approach angle as you see fit.
Additionally, the drive unit can be reversed on its mount allowing clockwise or counterclockwise rotation regardless on which side of the rig (left or right) you're using it. 15mm rod mount, 19mm rod mount (coming soon), as well as .8 pitch (included) and .5 pitch gears are all part of the modular design. Included with every unit are 3 of our 100% computer machined aluminum universal focus gears (.8, film pitch) for 360 degree unimpeded focusing.
If you're using other manufacturer's plastic "zip" gears then you already know you can't manage a full rotation with them. If there's any question on the unit's strength, check the video clip where we do something considered impossible with a follow focus!

Not a slider because nothing slides! This patent pending tracking system is a truly revolutionary way to move your camera, providing high end production values your clients will love. The Pegasus “Heavy Lifter” is designed for silky-smooth, nearly friction-less movements on loads up to 45lbs using an advance modular bearing system. Design your camera moves horizontally or vertically (up to 45 degree angles) over 3-feet (1 meter) long chromed steel rods, smooth and indestructible. Our modular mount system allows you to use our 100mm bowl, or standard 3/8" stud mounts for seamless integration with any tripod head system. Rails are available up to 5ft long.
The Pegasus “Carbon System” is super-flexible, compact, strong, lightweight, fast to set up and even faster to disassemble (in 60 seconds with no tools). Using 100% steel ball bearings and solid carbon fiber rails, this tool-free system sets up in about 2 minutes for smooth tracking shots – or take it off its rails and turn it into a table dolly in seconds. The system can be used upside down, sideways, overhead etc for nearly limitless movement options. Pull the truck system off rails and with no tools or reconfiguring, you've got a rubber cushioned track-less table/floor dolly in hand for truly spontaneous shooting. Exchange the standard wheel set for the Cable Wheels - and yes, you've got yourself a cable cam! We've also created a kit using these parts that turns any set of 15mm rails into a super-smooth linear tracking system!
Both systems can be used "bare" on a table top/floor, on two tripods, one tripod, or a mix of c-stands and tripods!

Cinevate's equipment cases are custom manufactured to our specifications. All are watertight, super-tough, and inlcude a pressure release valve (for air travel). The smallest case is included with every Brevis35 imaging adapter.
The medium case includes 3 layers of pick/pluck foam and is sized to accomodate full adapter rigs (45cm rails) on cameras like the HVX200 and XH-A1. Our largest case features 3 layers of pick/pluck foam, 3 carrying handles, wheels, retractable tote handle and uses no less than 7 anti-release buckles. This case is what you'll want to hold a full 60cm adapter rig and camera completely rigged.

So many features, so little room. The patent pending Ballare dolly weighs at around 50lbs, yet supports 600lbs with up to 3 seated riders. The mast and seat system attach, remove and adjust with no tools, and the entire unit can be quickly broken down to fit in a duffel bag.
The system uses no less than 42 ball bearing systems, a stainless steel fastener set and powder coated, computer milled, 100% aluminum construction for a lifetime of use. The patent pending tracking system dynamically adjusts width and approach angle, so it can be configured for virtually any type of track, wether it be curved, straight, non-paralell or completely uneven!
There's simply too much to describe in terms of the feature set so we'll let our Ballare Dolly Overview do that job for us.

Patent pending, the little Brevis35 is without question the world's most sophisticated, 35mm lens adapter. The system is completely modular utilizing a highly advanced microprocessor managment system that not only handles internal image oscillation but also manages power, the integrated charging system, and even shuts the unit down if you forget! Thirty hours of runtime on a 15 minute "smart" charge is typical. This system is nearly loss-less. With a 50mm f 1.4 lens mounted (our competitors measure with no lens attached!!), you'll only see .5 stops of loss. Stop that lens down to f5.6 and you'll only see one stop of light loss, making the system without question the most light efficient system in the world. We're not just spouting text here, no other manufacturer will show you this to back up their claims. Our imaging module is a weighs a scant 275g. A fully rigged flip system is still only 2.2lbs, making it at least 35% lighter than anything on the market...and the only system in the world to use carbon fibre materials to achieve this advantage. Is it any accident that some of the world's finest shooters use this system?
Some of its many other features:
▪ User-interchangeable (CINEFUSE) Imaging Elements (8 of them!) allowing bokeh control and full camera support from the tiny HV20 to 2/3" broadcast cameras in one adapter! Swapping imaging elements can be done on-camera if required, in as little as 2 minutes. The Brevis35 is the only system in the world to cover every camera on the market in one modular product.
▪ External oscillation adjustment port for instant, micro-processor managed, oscillation control. This means incredible control to allow precise image tuning...a world exclusive for our system.
▪ Standard micro-collimation feature ensuring perfect performance with 35mm or cinema lenses, regardless of make. This feature has been copied by nearly every other manufacturer..and it started right here!
▪ Fits Nikon, Canon FD, Canon EOS, Minolta MD, Pentax K and Pentax M42 lens mounts, and offers full support for PL and OCT19 cinema lenses
▪ Optional high-quality flip module allows optical image inversion (with improved edge-to-edge sharpness and lens-inherent chromatic aberration suppression). Our flip module works with every Brevis35 we've ever sold.
▪ Full on-board power management including auto-shutdown, low battery warning and integrated auto-reset circuit breaker (MP.2). There's no hot glue or cheap pager motors here!
▪ The Brevis35 system features an exclusive modular system meaning even 3 year old adapters have been converted to our latest specification...and usually for under $200.
▪ Tough, lightweight chassis which has led the industry with it's integrated XY adjustment, collimation and unparalelled optical accuracy. These features have been part of the product for nearly 3 years.

You’re likely tired of reading the words “patent pending” but yes, our Proteus carbon fiber rails system is so highly innovative, we had to patent it. Not only is it one of the lightest in the world, but our solid 15mm carbon fibre rods are about 75% stiffer than typical stainless rails systems! Considered unbreakable, they are also accurate to better than .01mm meaning zero issues using any third party components.
No other system on the planet is as versatile, supporting everything from the tiny Canon HV20, progressing right up to broadcast 2/3” ENG format cameras in one package. If that’s not enough for you, the base plate can be reconfigured as a shoulder mount so add our grips and pad and presto, a full shoulder mounted rig! It does all this while allowing perfect tripod balance and zero downward interference ever with your tripod plate! Add our Proteus cage for near limitless rig configurations!

Brewing in the Cinevate think tank for over a year, the patent pending Titan matte box is the world's first fully height adjustable swing away mattebox. Using a CNC machined aluminum frame, and carbon fibre uprights, the box frame is strong enough to be used as a handle for a 40lb rig! The top frame incorporates 3 shoe mounts for mic or accessory mounting and also features mount points for our amazingly versatile 15mm rails blocks. This means you can run an extra set of rails over top your rig to create a cage..which is also height adjustable.
This box uses two 4x4 filter frames which can be rotated and adjusted for use with ND grad filters. Our next models (coming soon) will attach right up to this frame creating a modular mattebox system for seamless and cost effective upgrades down the line. The external frame is perfect too as a substitute for hand grips if you're looking for a quick shoulder mount rig. Check the video over in Cinevate's Video University for a full exploration of the features of this rig.
